*The Friday (day before the tourney) special events are:

•The annual Mammoth Lakes Home Run Derby and the (back by popular demand) Coed Hitting Accuracy Contest

***Watch on the "Mammoth Softball" page on Facebook for rules, format, and times- we will post soon- the special events will not start earlier than 1 pm on the Friday before each respective tournament and they will conclude before or right at dusk at the latest. 

*I can tell you right now that it is ONLY $10 an entry and the winner of each event wins A BRAND NEW BAT!!!!

**For the home run derby we have a special surprise in the derby ball crates and buckets for those of you who know enough about the history of slowpitch softball to recognize what an amazing thing this surprise really is.  Let's just say you only have to spend $10 to enter the contest and have possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity to hit like Helmer, Crine, and all the other pros who came before us......

***For the coed weekend we will be having a hitting accuracy contest on Friday.  HERE'S the exciting news about that:  Really what we are doing is having TWO contests on Friday: A women's hitting accuracy contest AND a men's hitting accuracy contest- THE WINNER OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CONTEST MAY SELECT A BRAND NEW BAT!!!

•You crazy Mammoth Softball ballers need your rest- there's less oxygen up here!!!!  So the events won't start any earlier than 1 pm and will conclude at or before dusk/sundown on Friday.

•These special events are still being coordinated by Grover #9 (aka "Mr. Swick aka aka "Coach Swick")
